BOLTON, Conn. — Two men died on Wednesday after a report of an overturned kayak in Bolton, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
DEEP said there was an active response in the evening from EnCon Police at Lower Bolton Lake after a kayak was reported overturned shortly after 3 p.m.
One man died at the hospital while multiple fire department vessels and a dive team were called to assist in the search for a second man who was reported missing, according to DEEP.
DEEP provided an update at 9:10 p.m. that the second man was found dead.
DEEP identified the men Thursday Keith Mosher, 52, and Marcus Sterling, 28, both of Vernon.
