VERNON, Conn. — A man was taken to the hospital by LIFE STAR medical helicopter after a serious motorcycle crash in Vernon Sunday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded to the entrance of Henry Park on South Street after a single-motorcycle crash happened at 4:08 p.m.
Police said they found a man lying in the roadway of Henry Park Way, who was then given medical treatment by Vernon EMS and the town's fire department for serious injuries. He was brought to the hospital by a LIFE STAR helicopter.
The cause of the crash is unknown, and the man's condition was not made public.
Vernon Police and Metro Traffic Services asked people to avoid the area of Henry Park during their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 860-872-9126.
