WALLINGFORD, Conn. — Just days after fall began, good fortune fell into place for two Connecticut Lottery players who won major cash prizes in Ellington and Bloomfield respectively.
This week, the Connecticut Lottery’s Cash5 game delivered back-to-back $100,000 winners.
The first big victory came on Wednesday, when a South Windsor resident purchased the winning ticket at the Ellington Quick Mart located in Ellington on Windsorville Road.
The Connecticut Lottery says the Cash5 winning numbers drawn on Sept. 25 were 16 – 18 – 22 – 28 – 35 and that there was a total of 2,731 winning tickets sold in the state for that drawing.
A day later, on Thursday, a Bloomfield player purchased a Cash5 ticket at Issac’s Mini Mart on Mountain Avenue in Bloomfield and emerged victorious with the top prize.
According to the Connecticut Lottery, the Cash5 winning numbers drawn on Sept. 26 were 01 – 05 – 07 – 11 – 18. There was a total of 4,184 winning tickets sold for this drawing.
Both Ellington Quick Mart and Isaac’s Mini Mart will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling a $100,000 winning ticket, the Connecticut Lottery says.
Cash5 drawings happen on a nightly basis at approximately 10:30 p.m. Tickets cost $1 apiece, with the “Kicker” option available for an additional 50 cents.
The Connecticut Lottery says that the odds of winning the top Cash5 prize are one in 324,632. The overall odds of Cash5 are one in 72.1, while the overall odds of Cash5 with Kicker are one in 12.1.
As a reminder, the Connecticut Lottery says that Lottery purchasers must be aged 18 or older, and players must be at least 21 years old to place sports wages.
