Breeze Airways to begin nonstop service from Bradley International to Florida and North Carolina next February

The airline will fly nonstop from BDL to Daytona Beach, Fla. and Wilmington, N.C. on Thursdays and Sundays, beginning on Feb. 13, 2025.

Next February, Breeze Airways will begin offering nonstop service from Bradley International Airport to airports in Florida and North Carolina.

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — Bradley International Airport continues to extend its geographic reach by adding new routes.

The Connecticut Airport Authority announced in a release on Wednesday that low-cost carrier Breeze Airways will expand its route network from the international airport in Windsor Locks.

Starting Feb. 13, 2025, Breeze Airways will begin flying nonstop from Bradley International to Daytona Beach, Fla. and Wilmington, N.C. The flights to each location will occur on Thursdays and Sundays.

Connecticut Airport Authority Executive Director Kevin Dillon, A.A.E. said in the release that Breeze Airways’ growth at Bradley International has been well received by travelers. He anticipates the additional routes.

“These new, nonstop flights to Daytona Beach and Wilmington are a welcome addition to the growing list of popular destinations that Breeze already serves at Bradley International Airport, offering our passengers great convenience and affordable fares,” Dillon said in the release.

According to the release, Breeze already flies nonstop between Windsor Locks and Charleston, S.C.; Columbus, Ohio; Fort Myers, Fla.; Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; New Bern, N.C.; Norfolk, Va.; Orlando, Fla.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; Sarasota/Bradenton, Fla.; Savannah, Ga.; Tampa, Fla.; and Vero Beach, Fla.

Breeze Airways Founder and CEO David Neeleman expressed his excitement in the release and welcomes the additional routes that will be embarking from Bradley International.

“Hartford has been a fantastic market for us, and we continue to see more opportunities for growth,” Neeleman said in the release. “We continue to bring an elevated, premium leisure product to our guests in Connecticut, and we’re continuing to look for growth opportunities as Hartford’s largest commercial carrier by destination.”

Breeze is additionally giving 35% off all roundtrip base fares if purchased by this Friday at 11:59 p.m. The release said the deal is valid for select periods of travel.

Bradley International is New England’s second-largest airport and contributes nearly $3.6 billion to the regional economy, according to the release.

After its establishment in 2011, the Connecticut Airport Authority has worked to develop, improve and operate Bradley International and the state’s five general aviation airports in Danielson, Groton-New London, Hartford-Brainard, Waterbury-Oxford and Windham. The authority works to make Connecticut’s airports more attractive to new airlines and bring in new routes, the release said.
