BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A pedestrian is fighting for his life after being hit by an SUV in Bridgeport on Monday evening, according to city police.
Police were called to Pequonnock Street near Park Avenue around 9:45 p.m. for a report of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
Arriving officers found a man, who appeared to be in his 60s, lying on the ground with serious injuries. The Acura MDX that hit the pedestrian stayed on scene, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition, police said.
The Acura driver and passenger were not injured, according to police.
