WATERBURY, Conn. — A Waterbury man accused of driving away after fatally hitting a woman with a car has been arrested, city police report.
Waterbury police took Morris Holman, 25, into police custody Tuesday.
Holman was charged with manslaughter, misconduct with a vehicle, evading responsibility with death, tampering with evidence, and many driving and vehicle violations.
It's alleged that Holman hit Michelle Trausch, 36, of Norwich, on the 600 block of East Main Street on the evening of Aug. 10. Trausch was found in the roadway; she was taken to an area hospital where she died from her injuries, police said. Holman drove away after hitting Trausch, according to police.
Holman is being held on a $250,000 bond.
