Arrest made in fatal Walnut Street shooting: Waterbury police

The suspect was held on a $3 million bond.

WATERBURY, Conn. — A Waterbury man has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a local man that happened on Walnut Street over the weekend.

Police took Pahe Autry, 37, into custody Monday for charges connected to the death of Julaquis Minnifield, 43, of Waterbury. Autry was charged with murder and faces several firearm possession violation charges.

Police were called to the 300 block of Walnut Street around midnight on Sunday. Responding officers found Minnifield with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Autry was held on a $3 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
